My new friend Amber in Texas, whose baby girl has hemifacial microsomia like Charlie, pierced the baby's "good" ear. Ordinarily I don't like to see babies with pierced ears. Plenty of time for that later. I'm making an exception for baby Elizabeth. Amber's mom told Amber that it would make people notice that Elizabeth only has one ear. Amber said, "I think the fact that she only has one ear does the job."
